Meet HomeRoot

Small thoughts. Plenty of room.

Capture the thought when it happens. Come back when you are ready to expand it. Your phone app and desktop are part of the same HomeRoot, from a few words to a whole home renovation.

01 / Capture

Get it down while it is on your mind.

A half-formed idea. Something to look into. A detail you will need later. The phone app puts HomeRoot close at hand when the thought arrives, even while you are away from your desk.

Capture it in your own words and carry on. You can decide what it becomes when you come back.

One HomeRoot / Phone and desktop

The same thought. On the screen that suits the moment.

Save an idea on your phone while you are standing in the room it concerns. Return to that same Entry on your desktop when you have time to look at measurements, research and options together. The phone app makes the time at your desk more useful because the starting thought is already in HomeRoot.

You can capture, return and expand on either device. Use the phone for a longer note, or the desktop for a passing thought. Your work stays in one environment as you move between them.

02 / Organize

A Desk that makes sense to you.

Keep thoughts visible on your personal Desk. Bring related Entries together in Spaces, or use Lists for things that belong in a sequence. You can arrange things deliberately as your needs become clearer.

Your idea does not need an elaborate filing system before it deserves a place.

03 / Return

Pick up the thread.

Come back through your Desk, a Space, a List or search, on your phone or desktop. Reopen the thought you saved and keep working with it. A few recognizable words can be a useful starting point when you remember the idea better than where you put it.

Read: make your notes easier to return to

04 / Expand

A little reminder. Or a much bigger possibility.

Some thoughts only need to be remembered later. Others grow into something substantial: a room redesign, a trip or a whole home renovation. Add more words, supporting files, photos, links and discussion as the idea develops, on whichever device suits you.

You keep returning to the same thread. When a topic grows into several related thoughts, a Space can bring them together.

When other people are involved

Share with intention.

Your personal Desk starts private. Connect with People and deliberately share an Entry or a whole Space when you want to work together. Sharing has an audience; placing something near another thought does not share it.

You can keep personal thinking separate from the parts you choose to discuss together.

Optional help

Think for yourself. Ask for help when you want it.

Ordinary capture, organization and return work without AI. HomeRoot AI is an optional way to ask questions, explore authorized material or request research. Your contributions and AI responses stay distinct.

Free access and optional paid upgrades are the direction for public launch. See the plan outline.
